How It Works

INITIAL INTAKE

At Body in Mind Nutrition, we look forward to getting to know you.  You will have an opportunity to talk about your diet and health history, food, eating and body beliefs, concerns and goals, activities, experiences and current habitual patterns.  We are committed to you feeling respected, heard and seen.  To support your feeling at ease, we will take our time and follow your pace.

INDIVIDUALIZED PLAN

We believe that you are the expert of your own body and that healing happens within relationships.  Therefore, we are committed to establishing a partnership with you.  Rather than “telling you what to eat”, together, we will work to create curiosity and awareness which empowers you to make the choices that support your well-being.  With respect and compassion, we will develop a plan for sustainable changes to heal your relationship with food, eating, and your body.

SUPPORT SYSTEM

We utilize a HIPPA-compliant journaling app which allows you to stay in touch between appointments, if you choose. With your permission, we will also communicate with members of your treatment team and personal support system, as needed. We understand that our culture does not support self-care and feeling at ease with food, eating and, your body.  Therefore, we are committed to creating supportive community.
