Supervision

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND SUPERVISION​

With over 30 years of experience in the field, I am passionate about providing supervision, education, and client-centered care with cultural humility, inclusion, and social justice along with alignment with the principles of Health at Every Size. 

I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified in Curvy Yoga, Accessible Yoga, and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga. I also participated in 2 years of training in Presence-Based Coaching which she integrates into her work with clients and supervisees.

I bring all of my experience, coninued education and training into my supervision with you.

I am committed to offering respectful, compassionate supervision with the intention to create a partnership with you.

I am committed to providing a safe space where you feel comfortable in discussing your perceived strengths, weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and growing edge. Depending on your interest and where you are in your own development, specific issues of supervision are:

  • Ethical practice
  • Presence-based and somatic skills
  • Working with internal family systems skills/Nourishing the inner child
  • Prevention of burn out and self-care
  • Trauma-informed care

My professional background includes providing medical nutrition therapy as a clinical nutritionist at Wake Forest University School of Medicine for many years and as a faculty member of the School of Medicine for 10 of those years. While at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, I was responsible for a wide range of tasks: nutrition education of medical professionals and patients, clinical nutrition services, research, and administration. 

I was also in private practice part-time during those years with a transition to full time private practice in 2005.  My experience also includes being a chief clinical dietitian in a clinical setting, a clinical nutritionist for North Carolina School of the Arts, and RDN in an addiction treatment center as well as a behavioral health center.

I am available for both individual and group supervision. If you are Iinterested in pursuing the credential of CEDRD, I am an IAEDP-Approved Supervisor.
